Han Choong-Seok
choice of subject is various familiar animals and characters interacting with the inside and outside of the canvas causing unfamiliar feelings to arise in the viewers. His work initiates from the word relationship, and the distance of the relationship between people as 'sidelong glare', which shows unspoken and intangible distances between the objects concerned. Han Choong-Seok works on Gwangmokcheon, a thin, uncoated Korean cotton which allows the colours to permeate. After making a deep-coloured background by soaking the paint, he starts his work on top, adding to the uniqueness of his artworks.

 

Han Choong-Seok's work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions, including Your Time of Remembered, Gallery Woo, Busan (2021); JP Art Center, Taiwan (2021); Yoshi story, Gallery Woo, Busan (2020); Black_Without Fear, Gallery Woo, Busan (2019); Veteran, Gallery woo, Busan (2017) and Miss you, Gallery Woo, Busan (2015). His work was also included in group exhibitions at KIAF, Seoul (2021); Daegu art fair, Daegu, Republic of Korea (2021); Art Taipei (2020); BAMA, Busan (2020); Korea Galleries Art Fair, Seoul (2020); TTF, Taipei (2019);

Art Busan, Busan (2019); BAMA, Busan (2019) and Daegu Art Fair, Daegu, Republic of Korea (2019), among others.

 

He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Department of Western Arts, Silla University, Busan and a Master of Fine Arts from the Department of Western Arts, Busan National University.
