Wei Ting Chen was born in Tainan, Taiwan in 1991. He regards writing as a slice of life. As Chen recalls, he spent the majority of his childhood with cartoons, where he gained his natural liking for drawing caricatural characters. During his years at Fu Jen University, Chen’s major in Chinese Literature provided him a chance to explore the fluidness of creativity, writing poems became an alternate showroom to his art, that was when he developed the concept of ‘fragments’. Inspired by Roland L.Bachmann's books, Chen encourages his viewers to perceive his artworks as puzzles, like Roland’s readers do.

His work is mostly graphics with acrylic paints, often accompanied by poems that correspond to the visual parts and provide a complete sense of a story.
